Sun Airway, out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, just released their latest single, “Wild Palms”. This kind of hazy, dreampop song is exactly what we love here at ridinthechillwave.

Wild Palms is on the band’s brand new Dead Oceans 7’ “Wild Palms” b/w “Symphony in White, No.2”, out physically in July and digitally now.

Sun Airway will be playing the 2011 Pitchfork Music Festial this weekend in Chicago, Illinois which I will be lucky enough to attend. It’ll be my first time in the Windy City, so any suggestions from those who know the city well are appreciated.

Check out the (unofficial) video below. The eclectic mix of roller coasters, bob sleds, surfers, corporate executives and fighter pilots does a nice job of capturing the mood of the song.

Teen Daze, based out of Vancouver, Canada, just released a new EP which they will only be selling on their current tour through 5 cities British Columbia(sorry Lizzy in Toronto) without online distribution.

The aptly name, Tour EP, clocks in at 9 songs, most of which were released as singles last year.

While I’m bummed they haven’t decided to make a trip down to Los Angeles this time, I was lucky enough to pick up a copy of the EP.

For those unfamiliar with Teen Daze this is a great way to get a feel for one of my very favorite Chillwave bands.

There are other ways to get this new EP, but please if you have the opportunity, go see these guys and buy it straight from the band!
